Outdoor furniture with water-repellent cushions

Brafab's outdoor furniture is designed to withstand our Nordic climate, which quickly alternates between radiant sun and sudden rain. Of course, all our products can withstand standing outside, and to prevent you from wearing the cushions back and forth when there is a shower, we have added extra function to some of our fabrics and cushions.

At every little detail, we at Brafab make choices that make our furniture resistant to wear and tear from the weather. It is essential for an outdoor piece of furniture to last.
In most of our furniture with cushions, we use olefin fabric, which has many benefits. For example, it keeps the color well and does not fade as quickly from the sun as other fabrics do. It is very durable and at the same time light. The fabric also lets very little water through - and dries quickly. That's why it's made for outdoor furniture.

Sometimes it is justified to have even better protection against rain and moisture, for example when it comes to larger upholstered furniture. In several of our furniture series, we have therefore added extra reinforcements that make the cushions can be left outside when there is a shower. Then you get time for other things.

Two different techniques for creating weather-resistant cushions

1. Liner - fabric that shuts out water

When it comes to water-repellent fabric, it is about shutting out the water as much as possible. Here, the inside does not get wet. The olefin fabric used in many of our furniture
has good properties in itself to keep the water away, but in some cases further reinforcement may be appropriate. We then use a so-called liner on the inside of the fabric to further keep the water away. The liner we use is transparent and flexible, which means that you do not feel any difference on the outside compared to a fabric without a liner. A fabric made for outdoor furniture simply!

2. Cushions with all-weather foam

When we say cushions with all-weather foam, we mean cushions that can withstand a rain shower and then be able to dry. It is thus a cushion that lets water through and has some form of opening that allows the inside to be ventilated and dry when the sun looks ahead again. Keep in mind that the cushions dry faster if you set them up so that any water drains out more easily.
